Season 3 screening process

Before the show begins, survival consultants screen applicants and attempt to weed out those who will not make it in Patagonia, South America. Much of this is covered in the episode “Making The Cut”.

Where did the screening process take place?
In Bear Mountain NY, potential contestant’s skills are tested. They must build shelters. They are observed for creativity skills, trapping abilities, fire building skills, and weaknesses.

What kind of predators are in Patagonia?

I’m sure we will see on Alone, Season 3, that there are many predators in Patagonia. Some of them which are dangerous to humans include:

• Wild board weigh in at up to 600lbs
• Patagonian puma
