While scouting locations for Discover Channel’s show, Naked and Afraid, producer Steve Rankin was bit by a venomous snake.

What kind of snake bit the Naked and Afraid producer? Steve Rankin was bitten by a pit viper, known in Costa Rica as a Terciopelo or fer-de-lance.
